ESG Governance
We are actively engaged in ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) efforts to achieve green manufacturing and sustainable environmental operations. Green manufacturing refers to the establishment of renewable production processes and environmentally friendly operations in the manufacturing industry, while ESG is a method of measuring the ethical and sustainable impact of a company or business on the environment.
At EVERSOON, we have adapted our internal environmental policy using ESG as a guiding principle. We believe that small changes made by our workmates can have a huge positive impact on the environment. For example, we have implemented meat-free days twice a month and regularly participate in cleaning up trash from the streets around the plant.
With regards to Meat Free Day, we have been on this voyage for four years now by providing all staff with a vegan lunch on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from the end of 2018 until the end of 2022. This initiative not only encourages our staff to eat their veggies, but it also helps to reduce carbon emissions by 4.1kg per meal, and in total we've helped to reduce the planet's carbon emissions by around 69,000kg since it was first held.
We are currently working actively to minimize the environmental impact of our machine building and food production operations. At the same time, we place a high priority on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and care about the well-being and training of all our employees. As an innovative solution and technology company focused on tofu, we are confident in our future sustainability. We encourage our customers to participate in the production of tofu, as more tofu production can further reduce the carbon footprint of the livestock industry and help protect our beautiful planet.
We are actively engaged in ESG as part of our commitment to the next generation of children to leave behind a cleaner and more beautiful planet. We will continue our efforts to make more positive contributions to ESG. We believe that this is not only our responsibility, but also our investment in the future.
ESG commitment at Yung Soon Lih Food Machine
Our R&D team is constantly working to develop the most efficient automated equipment. For example, we are committed to reducing the amount of steam energy used to produce each kilogram of tofu to further reduce our carbon footprint. In addition, we are actively exploring ways to reduce the weight of Okara through efficient extraction systems and filtration devices, and are emphasizing the possibility of reusing Okara.
Our automated production lines are designed and manufactured in strict compliance with EU regulations to ensure safe operation for our workforce. We treat our operators as if they were our own family, and we expect every employee who operates a Yung Soon Lih Food Machine to work safely and spend quality evenings with their families at the end of their shift.
ESG commitment at BKD Biotechnology
BKD Biotechnology is committed to continuous improvement and development under the ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) framework. In the construction of our plants, we actively utilize solar energy and natural light to reduce our reliance on traditional energy sources and lower our carbon emissions. Through these measures, we strive to minimize our environmental impact and fulfill our commitment to sustainable development.
In addition, we pay special attention to creating a comfortable and pleasant workplace to enhance employee job satisfaction. Facilities such as employee lounges and prayer rooms have been set up in our factories, and these spaces are designed to allow employees to relax and enhance their work efficiency. These initiatives not only demonstrate our practical commitment to our ESG objectives, but also show that we care about and value the well-being of our employees. We want our employees to feel good at work and go home happy when they're done.
